“Playground of my Mind ” review by Kathy O'Connell on MetroKids, December 2009 - Every year on Kids Corner, young listeners vote for the Top 10 songs of the year. The overwhelming winner for the past six years has been “The Cheese Song” by Bubboon’s Tunes. That’s how long we’ve been waiting for the release of a second CD from this New Jersey-based, theatrically-trained comic duo. Playground of My Mind sparkles with the same silly humor that first made Bubboon’s Tunes a hit, along with sophisticated production values that move this CD into a new realm. “Worm Collection” laments, “I can’t tell their head from their pooper” while teaching worm facts. “Heavy Machinery” is a love ode to bulldozers, garbage trucks and other gear “workin, workin’ the road.”You have to love a simple song that manages to work in the word “panache.” This CD uses humor and a child-like approach that will especially appeal to kids under 10.

Bubboon’s Tunes consists of the team of Bill
and Jennifer Winegardner, who write, record, and perform
their own music. Bill first created his character,
Bubboon, the Royal Fool, at a Renaissance festival.
Their voices are comedic, exaggerated, and over the
top, which serves the content of the songs perfectly.
The CD consists of 11 songs, and they are truly foolish....All
of them are completely goofy and ridiculous, and children
will find them vastly entertaining.

"Dear
Bubboon and Bubbles,
We came across your music doing a search for silly
songs on iTunes.
According to my eight-year old son Chris, "Funny
Chicken is my favorite song!" . Five year old
Danny says "They were both funny-otic".
We listened to both The Cheese Song and Funny Chicken
on iTunes. I had tears running down my cheeks from
laughing so hard at the song samples on iTunes. My
boys pressured me to download the songs. Initially
I resisted, but finally gave in. The $2 I paid for
the songs was quickly forgotten once my boys began
dancing like chickens in our living room to the stereo
once we'd downloaded the music. The Cheese Song was
soon accompanied by small rounds of gouda flying
through the room. I guess they figured a prop was
needed.
The enjoyment my husband and I received was well
worth our small investment on iTunes. You should
have seen how silly our children were doing all sorts
of actions for the songs. I'm afraid I will have "Funny Chicken" running
